About the Resort
As we mentioned before, the entire island is home to a resort called Nakelo Treasure Island Resort and Spa. It is a 4-star resort with 78 traditional, yet newly renovated Fijian style villas called Bure’s that are surrounded by idyllic views from every angle; just think turquoise waters, lush palms and clear blue skies. Better yet, the resort is 100% owned by the traditional landowning families, many of who work at the resort, so you can be sure you’ll be greeted with that iconic Fijian warm welcome we all look forward to receiving. When it comes to activities, there really is something for every traveller, whether that be young families, older families, couples, honeymooners and retirees.
Activities
In the Water
It’s no secret that on an island holiday, there’s going to be plenty of opportunity to get involved in some water activities. Whether you’re wanting to zoom across the ocean on a Jet ski, ride the waves on a wakeboard, explore the water via snorkel or sail the sea for hours- there’s an option for you at Treasure Island. Treasure Island Resort has a wide range of water activities available- enough to do one every day on your weeklong holiday! What do we recommend? The Jet Ski Safari, a guided 2.5 hour guided Jet Ski tour where you get to explore the stunning Mamanuca Islands up close.
On the Land
Of course, we understand that sometimes you want to be a fish out of water and enjoy some on land activities. Treasure Island’s land-based activities cover everything from sport to entertainment, cocktails, dancing, shopping and fish feeding. Some of our favourites are:
- Krazi Golf
- Fish, Turtle and Iguana Feeding
- Fijian Night
- South Pacific Dance and Fireshow
For the Kids
If you’re travelling as a family, we know it’s important that the resort you’re staying has child friendly activities, and Treasure Island is no exception. Most of the activities on the island are perfect for the whole family to enjoy together or for the kids to enjoy by themselves if they’re old enough. Some activities that kids and families love doing together at Treasure Island resort are tennis, mini golf, snorkelling, swimming and, if you’re lucky, seeing the baby turtles being released into the ocean.
On the other hand, if parents are seeking a little rest, Kids Club is here to the rescue. Little Treasures Kids Club invites all children aged 4-11, with children 0-3 welcome with a babysitter or parent. At the kid’s club, children will have fun playing and learning about the Fijian culture; getting involved in wholesome activities such as basket weaving, learning the Fijian language and participating in cultural games.
To Relax
You really can’t have an island holiday without a little bit (or a lot) of relaxation. Whether that involves floating in the water, sipping a cocktail at noon or getting a much-needed massage- Treasure Island is the perfect place to unwind. Located within the resort is the luxurious Senikai Spa, an award-winning local company offering a wide range of face and body treatments designed to nourish and relax. After you’ve been to the spa, top off your day of relaxation by the resorts 3-tiered infinity pool, sipping on a cocktail and soaking up the South Pacific views.
