Desert Safari Dubai | A Must-Do Top Activities When You Visit Dubai

A desert safari in Dubai should be one of the best parts of any trip to the United Arab Emirates. Every good desert safari includes pick-up and drop-off at your hotel. Our trip started in Dubai, but we can pick up and drop off at hotels in Abu Dhabi if you ask. Most pickups happen between 3:00 and 4:30 in the afternoon, so you have time to do a few things in the morning before leaving. Here, we talk about the best parts of our trip to the Dubai desert. If you want your desert safari Dubai to be the best it can be, you should look for trips that include these things.

Desert Racing (Dune Bashing)

This is like a roller coaster that goes through sand dunes, and it looks like a lot of fun! In a 4×4 Toyota SUV, our driver, Ram, took us on a 40-minute trip over the rolling sand dunes. I love wild roller coasters, but this trip couldn’t be any less exciting. On the other hand, there in desert safari Dubai sand dunes, a few sudden drops and speeds that kept me on the edge of my seat (quite literally). The drivers are pros; they know how to keep their passengers from freaking out while still keeping the car under control.

Photo Opportunities

Dune-bashing through the Dubai desert wouldn’t be the same without a few places to take pictures. After 15 minutes of bashing, we stopped in the middle of the sand dunes to take some beautiful pictures. Our driver, Ram, is also a big fan of photography, and he insisted on taking pictures of us in the air. Even though I didn’t want to, I let Ram take a picture of me mid-jump. I knew I had made the right choice when I saw the pictures. As you can see in the pictures in the gallery below, Ram took a bunch of pictures of us getting ready for the jump, in the air, and back on the beach. Even if you don’t like the photos, it’s worth it to have a good laugh at your own expense. I find it interesting that the pictures show the desert behind us and the sand blowing in the air as we jumped. You should hire a professional photographer like Ram to work during this break.

Sandboarding

Despite what most people think, sandboarding is not really like snowboarding. When sandboarding, you have to get over your fear of heights and charge straight down the hill. Both times I tried it, I failed completely, but the fact that it was hard was what made it so fun.

Bedouin-style tent camp with a place to eat and entertainment

When we got back to our desert tent in time for dinner, our day of dune-bashing was over. Before we sat down to eat, Arabic coffee, dates, and sweets were brought to us. For dinner, we had a Middle Eastern buffet with both meat and vegetarian options, such as falafel and curry chicken empanadas as starters. I didn’t think much of it at first, but I soon found out I was wrong. Rafaela, who is a belly dancer, put on a great show with a lot of dances set to popular songs. I was really impressed by the scene where she balanced a sword on almost every part of her body. The guys in particular were mesmerised. The camp of Desert safari Dubai also had a lot of different things to do, like smoking shisha, getting henna tattoos, and taking pictures of people dressed in traditional clothes and holding falcons. We didn’t get to use everything we were given because there wasn’t enough time.

There are More Fun Activities:

Desert buggies are fun to drive:

For an additional fee, several excursions provide a desert buggy ride across the sand dunes, often lasting about 20 minutes. We didn’t join in, even though it seemed like a good time. If you want to ride a desert buggy, keep this possibility in mind as you look at different tours.

Camel-Riding:

We ride camels on the way to the desert camp where we were having dinner, but we didn’t. Camel rides in Morocco were fun, but after everything I’d seen and done there, a 5-minute ride in a circle didn’t seem worth it. Overall, I like the trip, but this stop was the least interesting part. If you want your camel ride to be memorable, I suggest you find a tour that gives you at least a 20-minute ride.

The day we spent in the desert was fun, and Ram drove us back to our hotel in Dubai. While you’re in the Emirates, you should definitely think about booking a tour of the Desert Safari Dubai. Even with all the wild things happening on a safari, you’ll have chances to take photos like these.
